Our staff provide Home Health Aide services to appropriate patients on an intermittent, part time or full-time basis, under the direct supervision of Registered Nurses in accordance with medically approved Plan of Care. The duties of a home health aide include the provision of hands-on personal care, performance of simple procedures as an extension of therapy or nursing services. Our home health aides are qualified through training and/or competency evaluations.
Their functions include:
- Bathing, grooming and personal hygiene assistance
- Companionship
- Light housekeeping
- Meal preparation
- Medication management
- Mobility assistance
- Blood pressure and temperature monitoring
- Dedicated attention and general supervision of health
- Skin care
- Oral hygiene
- Nail care
- Bowel program
- Catheter care
- Home exercise program
- Ambulation
